A couple from London have developed a device to make salt therapy easily accessible, salt therapy also known as halotherapy has used by the Eastern Europeans for over 200 years as a remedy for respiratory aliments.
The developers, Costantin and Livia Tiba run Halosense a home-based company which sells an ultrasonic salinizer, this clever portable device creates ultrasonic vibrations in a saline solution to disperse microscopic particles of salt into the room which then reduces inflammation of the lungs and mucous by killing the bacteria.
According to Livia, recent studies have shown salt therapy can help In the treatment of allergies, bronchitis, asthma and in some cases snoring.
