    About CBT Private Practice

Therapy is an investment with your career, marriage, or relationship with your children at stake. Know that all professionals are not equally skilled. Many don't have a straightforward, action-oriented approach to therapy. I'm a well-trained doctoral level clinical psychologist. Go to & think before committing time & money. Watch my video so you can make an informed decision. I want you to know my expertise & how I will work with you before you see me. I believe in transparency. I want you to learn something that will stick with you so that I am the last psychologist you will need to consult.

I'll teach you to help yourself. You can learn how not to upset yourself when people block you & adversity strikes. I teach skills & introduce novel ways of thinking, so you begin to take control of what is well within your domain of influence & not waste time and effort on what is beyond your power.

I get to the bottom of your problems quickly. I'll give you useful feedback from the outset. Dr. Albert Ellis, my mentor, created REBT & revolutionized psychotherapy by making it highly practical. The therapy I practice, REBT, is the original form of cognitive behavior therapy.

I hold a doctoral degree clinical psychology and have 27 years of experience helping people overcome emotional and behavioral problems. I have been formally trained in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy which is the original form of cognitive behavior therapy. I also work at the University of Pennsylvania as a psychologist and teach at New York University in New York City. I am an author of two books: 1. Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy: A Newcomer's Guide and Overcoming Your Addictions.
