    About Horizon Counselling

Many people face all sorts of challenging and difficult situations throughout their lives, which can result in varying degrees of emotional distress.

Common feelings experienced by people coming to therapy include low mood (feeling depressed), anxiety, stress, anger, despair, jealousy, grief, emptiness... the list is endless. These feelings are not "wrong", but can be extremely unpleasant and distressing, particularly if they are persistant.

Talking to a qualified counsellor or therapist can help you to explore your feelings, gain a different perspective, feel acknowledged, validated and heard, explore the choices you have or difficult decisions you might be facing, and help you through a journey of self-discovery, healing and growth.

My name's Lis and I am an integrative counsellor/psychotherapist, which means that I have been trained in a number of therapeutic approaches. I aim to work with you in a way that is unique to your individual needs, and endeavour to provide a "safe space" for you to share the difficulties you are experiencing by meeting you with empathy, acceptance and compassion.
