    About The Heath Practice

Osteopathy is a form of physical therapy which is based on the theory that the structure of the body affects its function and vice versa. Osteopaths complete a 4 year degree course and once completed are required to complete Continuing Professional Development in order to keep their skills and knowledge up to date.

I treat people of all ages and with a wide range of conditions. I use a variety of treatments such as mobilisation and manipulation of joints, stretching of muscles, as well as visceral and cranial techniques. Cranial osteopathy is a very gentle technique which is therefore particularly suitable when treating babies and the elderly but anyone can benefit from it. I also give advice regarding diet, exercise, relaxation and posture in order to help the person holistically.

Although osteopaths are well known for treating backs they can treat all musculo-skeletal problems as well as other conditions such as headaches and digestive problems.
